A man of many interests, he enjoys the freshness of working within varying sectors. He welcomes the challenge of working within a small budget and the complexity that brings. His past work includes higher education facilities, government and civic projects, and aviation projects. His role in these projects has included schematic design, design development and construction documentation.

As an Hispanic living in a foreign country, many of the design decisions I make are based on the philosophy “thinking outside the box”. It is a way to bring something new to the table and have meaningful conversations with my peers.

Mario received his Bachelor of Architecture from Universidad Autonoma de San Luis Potosi in Mexico. He spent a year studying abroad in Spain at Escuela Politecnica Superior de Burgos, which strengthened his knowledge in construction. Mario is a registered architect in Mexico and is currently working towards obtaining his Texas registration. He is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).

When he’s not practicing architecture, Mario spends his time playing guitar, acquiring new books for his personal library, and going for a jog whenever he can.
