Alan believes that Architecture provides a unique service to the client that is of both art and science. He believes designs should create an environment that enriches lives and incites positivity, curiosity, purpose, and motivation. When working with clients and the project team, Alan aims to focus on implementing designs and building systems that produce sustainable and efficient solutions. He takes great pleasure in working on projects that will help stimulate and advance the surrounding community.

Alan has gained unique practice in the areas of adaptive re-use and facility maintenance. He has been able to translate this knowledge throughout varied architectural experiences ranging from the programming and design phases through owner occupation. Alan holds experience in a variety of building types such as K-12 educational, religious assembly, civic, commercial office, retail, medical office, and multi-family residential.

Alan received his Master of Architecture from Prairie View A&M University. He also holds both a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Science from Prairie View A&M University. He is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and Texas Society of Architects.

Outside of the office, Alan loves to read and learn more about history, cook for family and friends, and develop his craft at playing the piano. He is an advocate for maintaining human vitality. To keep this balance, Alan enjoys traveling, visiting amusement parks, attending live shows, and staying active in sports activities.
