While his experience spans varying project types, Charles has a specific interest in higher education facilities and how collaborative collegiate environments impact learning. He is intrigued by not only learning spaces but learning in general – he has a focus in evidence-based design and letting research help guide design decisions.
Charles has been involved in all phases of a project, from inception through to final completion. His varied experience encompasses a variety of project types, spanning residential, retail, healthcare, educational, and civic work. He has a special focus on Higher Education Facilities, particularly learning environments, laboratories, and sports facilities. Charles is also one of the office leaders in Exterior Enclosure Design, helping create high-performance and resilient building envelopes.
Charles received his Master of Architecture from Boston Architectural College. He received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a registered architect in the state of Texas and a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
