Meredith believes that architecture is for everyone, every day. Her philosophy is that creating spaces that encourage comfort and creativity should be the norm, not the exception. Always one to buck the status quo – she believes quality design isn’t only for special occasions.

Through her involvement in higher education projects, Meredith has gained an affinity for places where people gather. She enjoys projects with strong community involvement aspects, like community centers and civic and cultural work. Meredith’s strengths involve all aspects of the design process, including programming, schematic design, technical detailing, interior design, construction documents, and construction administration.

For me, being a woman in architecture means being able to make a difference for women in their day-to-day lives. Architects help create the built environment. Women and girls make up 50% of the population, and the built environment should constitute spaces where we feel comfortable, safe, encouraged, and valued. By offering a woman’s perspective in the design process, I hope to create fostering spaces for women today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.

Meredith received a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Meredith enjoys playing music, tennis, and exploring the latest fashion trends. If she isn’t out finding new restaurants and hotspots in Houston, you can likely find her checking out a local open mic or taking care of her plants.
