Deemed the college athletics’ crown jewel of student-athlete support centers, this new building’s mission is to provide a “home and support structure” for student athletes as they navigate their undergraduate careers. The building program comprises a 10,000-sf dining facility, and 3,000-sf flat-floored multipurpose room on the first floor; Academic Support, Student Athlete Engagement and Sports Psychology offices on the second floor; 75 tutor rooms on the third floor, open study and collaboration spaces, computer labs, large meeting rooms, and multi-student Learning Labs.

Student-athletes also have access to a recording studio and podcast room, which provides broadcast-ready environments that can be easily self-operated or professionally live-operated from an adjacent editing booth.

A central 3-story atrium provides dynamic vertical circulation and orientation for all building users, excellent views to the athletic complex outside, and aligns with the main boulevard to anchor the complex. The design features ample space for casual collaboration and individual study between meetings and tutoring sessions, and is intended to become the hub of student-athlete life on campus.

This state-of-the-art facility reflects Texas A&M’s commitment to excellence and will support the holistic development of Aggie student-athletes for generations to come.

This project is part of a larger expansion of the Texas A&M University Graham Athletic Complex, for which HarrisonKornberg collaborated with Populous.
